The day after yesterday

The sun heats my arms; I can feel it warming and strange. Today I looked for you but you weren’t there. I tried all the places I knew and still no joy. I know you are busy but I still had hope that you would be somewhere, somewhere we used to be, and somewhere we shared. I starred for a while hoping but to no avail. I looked and hoped, hoped and looked. Everything about you I miss even though I had yet to know everything. Everything you touched turned to my gold; everything you were was everything I thought I would need and more. But now it has all become a memory nothing more nothing less, a memory of past that could have been, should have been, but isn’t. This is not now or then but more when and how, Jeff Buckley sings halleluiah in the background to the scene and it fits every time, every time.
